Adopt a Squirklee

Every adoption is a magical moment: With a whisper from the winds of Bumbershoot Alley, your Squirklee influences the Curator of Curiosities to pick it over all the rest. How it works is an unknown... All we truly know is THE RIGHT SQUIRKLEE WILL FIND YOU. Once the Curator of Curiosities has pulled your Squirklee from the Squirklee crowd, she then  lovingly places into a blind bag and sends it on its journey to find you, its destined Keeper. (If you are purchasing as a gift, no worries. The magic has a way of working just the way it's supposed to.)

Each Squirklee comes with an Adoption Card where you, the Keeper, can record the Squirklee name, the adoption date, and even use the card to frame your Squirklee for display.

Because no two Squirklees are exactly alike, every Squirklee is individually numbered on its base and on the adoption card. Each Squirklee is a tiny hand-made piece of art!

Note: Squirklees arrive in the non-magical world in collections. Squirklees in each collection share a similar color palette and/or special attribute. Take a look at the pictures to see how each collection differs. When you adopt, you can choose by collection, or get the FULL MAGICAL experience and be surprised completely!

What are Squirklees?

The Squirklees began to reveal themselves years ago, back when I worked in a small bakery. As I squeezed the air out of colorful buttercream bags, blobs of frosting would pile up—swirling, squiggly mounds in every color imaginable. I always thought the colorful piles of buttercream looked like little creatures.

Over a decade later, while working with thick, heavy body paint, the blobs returned—but this time, they had eyes! The Squirklees had fully come to life!

Each Squirklee is a one-of-a-kind paint sculpture with a magnetic base, perfect for guarding tiny treasures and trinkets. No two are the same—you might meet a pastel Squirklee with curious cat eyes, or a chocolate one with bright blue peepers. Their colors, shapes, and expressions vary wildly, but one thing is always true: the Squirklee that finds you is meant for you.

Every adoption includes a magical traveling pouch (colors vary) and an official adoption card. Once your Squirklee arrives, its name may come to you right away—or it might take a little time. Be patient. When it clicks, you’ll know. Record the name and adoption date on your card and keep it close.

Squirklees love company, so adopting more than one is always encouraged. And don’t forget to explore the world of Squirklee Jarbliettes—each one a frosting-trimmed home fit for your new companion. Last thing to remember: Squirklees LOVE to explore! Take your Squirklee on adventures and be sure to document. They love having their pictures taken!
